Two Massachusetts doctors charged with criminal neglect for 76 coronavirus deaths at veterans’ home
The former heads of the state-run Holyoke Soldiers’ Home were indicted on charges of abuse and neglect

The Massachusetts Attorney General has indicted two doctors on charges of criminal neglect in relation to the deaths of at least 76 veterans’ home residents who died of the novel coronavirus.
Bennett Walsh, 50, and David Clinton, 71, were indicted by a state grand jury on Thursday in connection to their work at the Holyoke Soldiers’ home in Massachusetts. Each man was indicted on five counts, specifically for charges including “wantonly or recklessly” permitting or causing bodily harm and mistreatment of an older or disabled individual.
State investigators zeroed in on the events of March 27, when staff at the facility combined two dementia wards containing patients both with and without the novel illness. The facility was short staffed and made the decision to combine units containing 42 residents some of whom had the virus, some of whom did not. Residents were packed by the half-dozen into rooms that typically only held four veterans, allowing the highly contagious disease to spread at an alarming rate.
The office of the Attorney General has said that Walsh and Clinton will be arraigned in Hampden County Superior Court at a later date.

Joe Biden has pitched himself to voters as a “union man,” a son of Scranton, Pa., who respects the dignity of work and will defend organized labor if he wins the White House.
To rank-and-file members in some unions, especially the building trades, it doesn’t matter. They’re still firmly in Donald Trump’s camp.
“He has a very, very, very solid foundation of our members,” said James Williams, a vice president of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, whose surveys of members painted a similar picture. “They connect with his messaging and a lot of the fear-mongering going all the way back to when he was first elected with, ‘Be afraid of the immigrant. The immigrant’s here to take your job.’ That resonated with our membership. They feel like their way of life and their way of living is under attack and without really understanding the dynamics at play. I mean, the immigrant worker is being abused by employers.”
However, even as they praise the Democratic presidential nominee as a less-flawed candidate than Clinton, other union leaders said they fear there’s nothing they can say to the Trump supporters among their ranks to sway their opinion between now and November.
They said parts of Biden’s record, such as his past support for the North American Free Trade Agreement and the Trans-Pacific Partnership, hurt him, and that some members still look to the pre-pandemic economy under Trump as a high point.

Last night we received these photos from a reader in California. They appear to show hundreds of alleged unopened ballots in a garbage dumpster in California. We are working to verify. Big if true.

I thought you might find this interesting. My dad found THOUSANDS of unopened ballots at the garbage dump in Petaluma, California, north of San Francisco.
From our reader:
“My dad was throwing away some trash and saw them so he took some pictures. He told a lady who worked at the dump about it and she claimed that the county dumped them there. After my dad drove back around and saw the workers in the bin covering the ballots up with cardboard.”
The guy crawling out of the dumpster in the green shirt worked there. He was covering up the ballots.
The TGP reader then sent us a map of the location in Petaluma.

And that doesn't count bed, bathroom, couch, easy chair.
