Born a Jew, during WW2 he helped his father identify hidden Jews for the Nazis, and was not ashamed of this.
“Somehow” he escaped from Hungary when it was a machine-gun run.
Next, he makes it to London as a callow youth, and “somehow” he’s running a half-billion pound hedge fund in just a couple years.
Maybe he made really good bets on “cattle futures.” /sarc
My Occam’s Razor assumption is the Soviets set him up. As the USSR weakened and fell, Soros became a rogue operator. No question he is a world-class megalomaniac.
That is my take.
