He changed from going to Kenosha, obviously too unstable for the campaign to put Joe there.M

He and Tony Evers were trying to dissuade Trump from going there (an effort which has FAILED). That would have been even more hypocrisy than Dems could tolerate.

I thought he was going to Kenosha today? Did he cancel so he wouldn’t miss Wapner?

So Biden has gone from virtual campaigning, to campaigning after labor Day to now starting to campaign today. Trump has drawn him out.

C’mon Joe, say the magic words. You know you want to—just say them.... “Non-violent violence.” ;-)

I thought you meant, "Death To America!"

I agree with your analysis of Pittsburgh in most respects. You are right about who supports Biden, Bernie, and Trump.

Biden will get most of the older, retired union guys. Those folks see Biden as FDR, part 2. Biden will also get the current union leadership. But the current rank-and-file...there are more Trump supporters there than the leadership wants to admit.

I think Pittsburgh will go strongly for Biden in November. No big surprise. It’s Pennsylvania I’m not sure of. Remember all those Philadelphia precincts that went 100% for Obama? Not 99.9%, but 100% percent. Even Stalin never tried such a bold maneuver.

I assume Biden will play up the angle that he made the proper choice changing locales at the governor’s warning. This was probably the way they planned it, with never having any intention of going to Kenosha.

Do you live in PA? If so, what part?

I’m on the fringes of Pittsburgh and I see no evidence of a slobbering love affair with Biden here. I think that is largely a myth.

He could well win Allegheny County just on the strength of the reflexive “D” straight party voter.

You are probably right.

That being said, if Trump goes to Kenosha tomorrow and hits a home run Biden will be there quicker than you can say Oconomowoc.

Patience, Grasshopper

Trump has spent weeks trying to smoke Joe out of his basement. He has succeeded.

Now give Joe the opportunity to fall flat on his face.
Trump would not want to interfere with that.

That is true.

Trump actually ACCOMPLISHED things blue collar workers wanted (end bad trade deals, lean on corporate America to reshore jobs) that Biden only TALKED ABOUT doing for 47 years.

Many of them have taken note. The non-Kool-Aid drinkers anyway.

I was driving through Mt.Lebanon (a snooty Pittsburgh suburb) Saturday. The number of Biden, Harris, Lamb yard signs was very depressing.

Didn’t see many Trump signs - also depressing.

Of course, folks are afraid to display Trump signs fot fears of getting their cars keyed, or their house splattered with paint.

> Many blue-collar workers are Trump supporters. <

Oh, yes. I was careful to note that I was talking about the older blue-collar workers. Many (but not all) of them still believe that old “the Democrats are the party of the working man” nonsense.

The younger ones...they know that the Democrats are now the party of the welfare bums and the rioters.

The vibe here in Youngstown feels Trumpian to me.
I seen NO Biden signs.

Well, the number of Trump signs and especially flags in western Lehigh and Berks county is enormous. Rarely a Biden sign is seen.
