“This time it is different” — The author says about the D’Blasio wreckage known as New Your City.

D’Blasio — Apres Moi who gives a shiite. In fact I don’t give a shiite right now and cannot wait until my term is done in 2021. De-Blazzz is rumored to be a big marijuana consumer.

The NYPD demanded DeBlasio resign by sundown by of course he won’t, not when there is more things he can destroyed like all commies do.

Look at this, by 63rd street and Lexington: Attempted rape 11 am broad daylight with people around, and the freakin animal who would probably be released with no bail......

Not only is NYC not dead, this may be the best thing that’s ever happened to the city. It will take some time, but there will be a Renaissance the likes of which are hard to imagine.
NYC has;
Too pivotal a location
Too much infrastructure
Too deep a history
Too much valuable building stock
Too much investment in success

Let folks say it’s dead - all the better for those buying in.

Typical Lib, destroy a city with their progressive ideals. Instead of learning from their errors and fixing the issues, they give up to move to new virgin territories to repeat their mistakes.

In NY City, socialists, parasites and wreckers have the upper hand.

NY City will need a radical change of leadership to confront these people, only then can they can even hope to start a recovery. And I don’t believe people there have the stomach for it. De Blasio still has 14 months in office, so the greatest decline has yet to occur.

Perfect storm. New technology and lawlessness. The new technology was already weakening New York’s retail base. A significant percentage of people were shopping at internet based warehouse outlets such as Amazon and not shoping at brick and mortar sites. The pandemic has now demonstrated to big commercial firms that their employees can work and communicte profitably and efficently from home. Huge expensive commercial locations are not economically necessary. If people no longer congregate in these central locations, the resteraunts, shops and small retail shops lose their customers. Nor do they use mass transit to travel five days/week. Given the breakdown of law and order, the release of violent criminals from prison, people, especially people with children are fleeing urban centers.Foriegners no longer view urban real estate as safe havens for their wealth. The result is a monumental decline in commercial and residential real estate values, a decline in tax revenues and a loss of productive population. Cultural institutions that depend on subsidies and paying attendance are hard pressed as well.

Good idea to avoid NYC centered investments at this time. Won’t be coming back soon.

The Internet is the most revolutionary development since ....

Hmmmm

Electricity?
The wheel?

And like those other revolutions, there will be some victims. Welcome to victimhood NYC.

Not just rumored. His wife is even worse. My friend is a former NYC detective and one of his friends drives the DeBlobbios around. When he gets off duty he needs to change his clothes before he enters his house. He reeks of pot.
Evidently, they sit in the yard at Gracie Mansion and smoke their little lungs out.

According to “Mr. New York” Mark Simone what’s warming up in the bullpen to replace DeBlasio is probably worse.

Well I think you are right. NY will come back for the same reasons it grew in the first place. It will not be as it was. Especially when it comes to the office spaces. It turns out huge lease expenses are unnecessary. A large percentage of the work can be done remotely now. This of course affects the support/peripheral businesses. With all that greatly diminished I am not sure what happens to the Theater District. It may end like Vegas. A lot of people go there just for the shows. Of course If NY puts in another leftist jerk like Wilhelm all bets are off.

Nothing was wrong with the protests but I was a little nervous when I saw videos of rioters after curfew trying to break into my building.

If NYC is pronounced dead then the cause of death should be listed as suicide.

The citizens of New York voted for feel good politicians not people who knew how to run a business (or a city).

It was always a con. It is easier to steal from the public treasury when you promise to increase social spending. There are no bench marks to measure success by so the billions of dollars “spent” just evaporates with no accountability.

There are thousands of ways for a politician to skim money off the flow of dollars from the treasury to the streets.

The demise of NYC is part of the plan, as in LA, Portland and Chicago. Hit Trump where is hurts - economically render the USA as a fail.
Then create racial conflict where there was little. TAKE down the USA and rebuild in the EU model. Why isn’t anyone saying this? Distribute guns to felons and socialist and pay them to riot. Create chaos so that normal people are in fear. It is the PLAN!

When DiBlasio is replaced by a law and order mayor, New York can come back—but not one moment before that....
