I think the solution to all this is to just issue the cops the star trek Phasers, set to Stunn or kill, Tasers don’t seem to work well. Star Trek Phasers, they seem to to work well.

The old days they still had the issues called out today.

Phasers would solve everything, works on aliens too and aren’t hard too heavy to lift, heck I’d issue them to kids too. Phaser Tag, the new freeze tag.

And I’ll add, back when I was a high school guy working at a car wash, the local PD used to call their 12 gauge shotgun, mounted to the dashboard, their “riot gun”. I think it would still be an effective riot gun.
