For legitimate security reasons, protestors will be kept at a distance, but I suspect not so far as to be unheard. If so, Trump can play off against them — and likely to funny and devastating effect.

I’m pretty sure that E street behind the South Lawn is closed. I don’t think any protestors can get within 800 feet of the point at which the President will be speaking. They can shout all they want.

If there are any protesters outside, they’ll likely be drowned-out by the much bigger republican/conservative supporters in the same area.
It won’t be much different from when Trump delivered his SOTU speeches and the liberals inside the House protested.
