I started a gym membership last February (with the mask rule, I haven’t been there in over a month and may just terminate it).
Anyway, they have an interactive cycle that, as you ride, has a screen that simulates you riding over a course with hills and such. Several courses are available, and it’s really nice.
I think the Peloton has something similar, but I’m not sure. I suspect that the industrial grade bikes at the gym are very expensive. But having that scenic ride feature, along with adjustable gearing and resistance (plus data for the ride), really makes it more enjoyable.
I had an idea years ago like that. Starts with a girl running in front of you. As you go along she starts shedding clothes till she's naked. And the last 1/4 mile she turns around and runs backwards.
I’d like a treadmill that has the scenery feature...
