This is a double-edged sword...
I’m behind enemy lines here in MA, and over the years seen lots of strong Conservative friends leave for better pastures. I know that they are as conservative as their new “red-state” neighbors.
It makes it that much harder to remain here in MA. Being politically engaged here is like trying to punch thru a paper bag.
I know there is also a steady flow of sheeple and ‘Rats leaving as well... clearly evident in cities like Nashua.
I suspect Conservatives that remain conservative are more likely to move to the Oklahoma’s and Montana’s. Whereas, the local ‘Rats not satisfied to just ruin MA, stay more local, moving to RI or lower NH, where they can still be within reach of ‘Rat-held territory.
LOL. Just this morning I saw a personalized MA plate ‘IMPP 45’ driving around my nice midwestern town. If it were on the interstate I’d figure he was off to Portland or San Francisco, but this was a bit off of the interstate.
I’m trapped behind the same lines, but I am probably one of those who would like to escape someday. I don’t see a way to ever turn the place red. Look who our senators are! Mr. Frosty and Crockajawea.
I do wonder if there isn’t a business or activist opportunity here. A group that would actively seek to help conservatives move from blue states to red states. Not just the real estate part, but also help with job prospects, tax profiles, and other considerations like schools, medical and the like. It might also go a long way in keeping red states red.
The left does this, but through colleges. They recruit professors and students to their blue states and many of them stay. Liawatha did. Oklahoma to Massholechusetts.
They have moved to Maine too!
