the thing about that 6.9 in Indonesia was that it was extremely deep and will ripple IMO ... whether that will lead to a number of 5.9’s spread around or a bigger 7.9 somewhere IDK ... but that kind of jolt will likely work it’s way up & around ... TBD ;)

must remain bound by the 'pacific ring of fire',
the 'pacific plate',
a massive global plate under ALL the Pacific
and just off the edge of all of the Western United States.
But that would be quite a distance for such a large object.
