The antibiotic is meant to deal with secondary infections - pneumonia and such. The zinc, some say yes, some say ‘not necessary’, but as long as you don’t overdose on it, it’s a good supplement in my opinion (I’m not a DR). I take a multivitamin that includes over 100% of the DV of Zinc, but it is present in a lot of foods that we eat already.
Vitamin D is harder to find in food, which is why they fortify milk with it (and OJ sometimes too). Sunlight is a good source.
I think the biggest reason that HCQ isn’t available OTC is politics. But keep in mind that there are a lot of people that actually will vote for Biden. That alone tells us that some people are too stupid to even self-administer a non-addictive drug like HCQ.
people will take it wrong, and even overdose accidentally. It can kill you if you have heart problems too.
I have taken HCQ to prevent malaria when I worked in Africa and we used to give it out one tablet per week to prevent malaria... alas drug resistance means it won't work for the most severe malaria (falciparum).
Did you know that HCQ was once pushed as a suicide drug, back in the early 1990s and especially in Europe? And yes some of these sites even mentioned you could use fish tank cleaner if you couldn't get the tablets...back then there was no known antidote. But then some docs discovered an antidote, and these folks were saved, and the death pushers moved on to different drugs, and now few people remember this.
But it makes one wonder if the lady who fed her husband fish tank cleaner knew about this.

Here is info Dr. Zelenko has given if you test positive for Covid and are unable to get the HCQ regimen drugs
Quercetin 500mg 3 times a day for 7 days (this works similarly to HCQ)
Zinc 50 mg daily for 7 days
Z-pack (this one needs a prescription, the other 2 do not).
Dr Zelenko also suggested the following daily supplements to maximize your immune response hopefully preventing you from getting covid:
Vitamin D3 1000-4000 IU per day
Vitamin C 1-2 gm per day
Quercetin 500 mg daily
