Yep, anything they can stir up to blame Trump for, they will. That’s why he is being very careful in what he says about Q. We don’t need his affirmation, and there is NO upside to him to embrace Q because it’s far easier for the Left to diminish and demean the Qanon movement than it is to do the same to Trump.
They same will be done with candidates who embrace Q like Marjorie Taylor Green, Jo Ray Perkins, DeAnna Lorraine Tesoriero, Angela Stanton-King, Antoine Tucker. Remember those names and if you can - vote for them!
They will do the same to candidates like Laura Loomer who has not embaraced Qanon that I know of, but who has similar views and has given the media plenty of other reasons to hate and fear her (like identifying as “Proud Islamophobe”).
The media lapdogs will attack anything that looks like an easy target and tie that person to Trump.
