I just figured out why Senator Tim Scott (R-South Carolina) is so hated by the Socialist Democrats. Scott had the audacity to work with President Trump to craft $75B worth of enterprise zones - using private capital - in Democrat-controlled, decayed, and corrupt cities.
Why is Tim Scott hated for working with Orange Man?
If this was a Federal plan passed by Congress, even if the rules were written correctly, the corrupt states and corrupt local leaders in the affected cities would reroute that money for pet projects that have nothing to do with capitalism, competition, entrepreneurship, or private sector support.
The corrupt local officials, like what happened to the $billions that vanished in Elijah Cummings district in Baltimore, syphon off funds so they can reward their friends and family. It never helps the people they claim to represent.
This is one of the starkest differences between Trump's policies and the policies Biden is forced to adopt from Comrade Bernie and other Socialists.
