Thank you for the hosta information. I did not know they were fragrant! I do have a super shady hillside spot that needs something. It’s not in my fragrance garden but I’ve not gotten anything to thrive in that spot. I’m going to have to look into those.
I never really noticed how fragrant the hostas are until yeterday. My folks have many hosta varieties, guessing 20 or more. This large flowered one smelled like lilies of the valley times a hundred. My recent issue of Birds and Blooms magazine listed hosta flowers as a food source for hummingbirds too.
