My understanding of what started the shooting was when the ATF shot the Weaver’s dog. Randy was former military, but I don’t understand the “white separatists” bit. The dude live on a mountain away from people and he was white, so I suppose its accurate. Wasn’t that ATF guy that killed Mrs. Weaver also present when Finnacum (Bundy Oregon stand-off) was shot?
I barely remember Ruby Ridge. I was a kid.
He attended a number of skinhead events - got entrapped by a govt agent at one - but never really embraced their operational beliefs.
The U.S. Congress declared Lon Horiuchi's shot through the Weaver's door - killing Vicki Weaver - an 'unconstitutional shot'. Nothing came of it. I have heard that Horiuchi was at Waco but never saw it confirmed. By one report he was stationed at the back in order to keep anyone from escaping the fire.
The Treasury Dept. Undersecretary for Enforcement was Ron Noble. At Congressional hearings he complained that he was wasting his time justifying enforcement excesses, that he had more important things to occupy his time. After a brief stint in academia he became a big name with Interpol.

I can’t remember who killed Vicki Weaver.. was it Lon Horiuchi? Marshall Larry Cooper shot the son, but I don’t think it was on purpose. They named all the guys in Ruby Ridge incident, but they have only named one person in the LaVoy Finnicum shooting. All others are numbered. Even Finnicum’s wife doesn’t think their names should be published.
You know, just recently all charges were dropped against the Bundy’s, like this month??
Randy Weaver went to White Separatists meetings and Aryan Nation meetings.. but I don’t think he joined. But it’s kind of a duck thing to me- quack, walk.. you go to something like that you have to have similar thoughts, otherwise it’s disgusting. He sold 2 sawed of shotguns to an undercover ATF agent. And that’s where his trubbles started.
Lon Horiuchi was at both Waco and Ruby Ridge. I’m not passing judgement on the man.. I don’t know him nor his heart.
