First, thanks for pickin' up my slack on Draken. (I'd seen them mentioned as the location that had actually received the missile but got called away by some errant livestock before I got my little dig attempt posted. That stupid troll really screwed up the morning, didn't he?)
Anyway, down in the Draken site, I got:
Draken International Aircraft Inventory Mirage F1M
Which just happens to be the exact aircraft carried the mystery missile.....plus Draken's got 22 of 'em.
Spent some time back in The Day working with OPFOR stuff and always wondered how long they were going to be able to keep those RED FLAG/TOP GUN "enemy" birds up to date and/or maintained. Draken seems to have been the solution: Hire a contractor.
That being said, that outfit's got enough high-performance aircraft from enough different places they could start a couple serious furrballs any old time.
Makes me wonder if anybody in that organization can walk down the hall to the head without settin' off alarms at NORAD.
Aw yeah man, government employees these days just shuffle papers and look clean. All the dirty work gets contracted out to private entities.
