I don't know why you wouldn't want to save lives. Would you rather we have smallpox and polio back?

The vaccines mentioned in the graphic were developed for the most part in a time when people "did the right thing" in developing them. Now it seems the "business" side has taken over, and we're developing vaccines for profits.

I don't agree with the numbers on H. Influenza in the graphic, unless you're talking about a very specific strain of flu. Flu numbers are high every year, even though we have an annual "vaccine". It's dollars of reimbursement that drive the flu vaccination push every year, but somehow, we seem to miss the dominant strain -- every year. This is the "for profit" side I reference.
