My old man would look inside the freezer. Seriously.
“Why are you looking in the freezer for your keys dad?”
“Well - you know how whenever you find something that you lost - it’s ALWAYS in the last place you looked?”
“Um, yeah.”
“Well - the freezer is the last place I would look for my lost keys - so I figured I’d just look there first!”
Back in my (much) younger days, I could not find my wallet the morning after a night out on the town.
I finally found it in the freezer. One of those “must have sounded like a good idea at the time” kind of things, I guess.
