An EMP does not kill people.
An EMP will definitely kill. People will start killing each other, indiscriminately.
Loss of access to water?
Maybe the EMP itself is non lethal, but have you ever read One Second After?
It would be the breakdown of society and the scarcity of goods, prima food, medicine, and medical care that would do people in.
“An EMP does not kill people”
But... the resulting breakdown of primary and secondary infrastucture does.
Take one example: a massive EMP event occurs causing a large scale and longterm power production shutdown and transmission of electrical power. In 30 to 60 days all insulin dependent diabetics would be expiring due the inability of manufacturers to produce, refrigerate, or transport insulin.

The aftermath sure can.
“An EMP does not kill people.”
Not directly. Wait a year though...
I’m not expert, but I think starvation kills people.
“An EMP does not kill people.”
It does, and probably in the worst way.
LOL.
Imagine a US where there is no electricity and most cars and other vehicles won’t work. How many do you think die?
Stores have 3 days max of groceries in them.
“An EMP does not kill people. “
Starvation, no medical care, no heat, etc.....
