It is likely that Swift, Katy Perry and other airhead celebrities like them did not have their political views before they became celebrities IMO. I believe that as soon as some young airhead becomes a star, people in the entertainment industry immediately start indoctrinating them.
I always figured that celebrities are basically pretty faces with empty heads, and a bunch of assholes waiting in the wings to fill them.
