Mega pop star and Democratic Party activist Taylor Swift is attacking President Donald Trump over the U.S. Postal Service, claiming that the president is trying to cheat his way to victory in November by “dismantling” the beleaguered federal agency.

“Trump’s calculated dismantling of USPS proves one thing clearly,” Swift tweeted Saturday. “He is WELL AWARE that we do not want him as our president. He’s chosen to blatantly cheat and put millions of Americans’ lives at risk in an effort to hold on to power.”

Donald Trump’s ineffective leadership gravely worsened the crisis that we are in and he is now taking advantage of it to subvert and destroy our right to vote and vote safely. Request a ballot early. Vote early.— Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13) August 15, 2020

And remind me again why we even seriously listen to this person and her opinions except for her musical talents?

It’s not made up, the reasons for it are made up.

obama’s USPS removed 12,000 collection point boxes in the 5 hrs preceding the 2016 election.

The Trump campaign should produce an ad explaining the situation and how they are only continuing an obama era policy to streamline the USPS

Taylor has turned out to be so trashy.

She also doesn’t indicate who the “we” are, since, Trump was elected by ‘we the people of the U.S.’. The ‘we’ that she refers to are the losers, and will be the losers again in November. She should be moving to a country where her ‘we’ can also move to.

I always figured that celebrities are basically pretty faces with empty heads, and a bunch of assholes waiting in the wings to fill them.

Fornicate that female canine.

Funny how morons like that little roundheel are absolutely CONVINCED that they’re all-knowing, all-seeing, all-important, and omnipotent.

This may actually backfire on the demonrats. Their bloviating could help implant the idea in voters’ heads that the post office can’t be trusted, and therefore they should vote in person.
NOT what the demonrats want to happen!

The Post Office is not a federal agency-—shut up and sing.

The USPostal Service is an independent agency of the executive branch of the United States federal government. By definition, an independent agency is constitutionally managed by the executive branch, but are independent of presidential control. The President has no power to dismiss an agency head.

The Post Office’s authority as an agency is derived from statutes passed by the Congress. Each statutory grant of authority defines the goals the agency must work towards and what rules the agency is allowed to make (said rules having similar power as federal law).

So— the problems with the US Postal Service START and END with Congress, and the multiple union influence work rules, and delivery restrictions that Congress gave them the authority to enact. Not for efficiency but for what they could get Congress to give them.

Now they want 25 billion-— to help the mail in ballot crapola. When what they really need is to be allowed to finance their pension funds quarterly— like every US corporation, and not be forced by Congress to front end load fully their pension funds (funds which keep rising in payouts, having to be fully funded before the first dollar is taken in as Postal revenue). The Postal Rate Commission is a good place to look for the graft and grift— and the Unions help them with both.

There are 3 unions at USPS. The delivery mail carriers, the counter work people and the Sorters Union. 3 separate unions, and all of them militant (rush use to have a union hack in S. FL call in— and Rush called him a militant obstructionist union Boss— which he was and which there are many locals).
