SPECIAL PROSECUTOR in CHI determines “abuses of discretion” and “operational failures” but nothing criminal (?) in Cook County DA’s Handling of Smollett case.
As I’ve been pointing out, being incompetent or biased is not illegal, and the remedy under the rule of law is the ballot box. “Operational Failures” sounds a lot like incompetence to me. How do you not have operational failure? Get a new operator!
Our laws are weak because the same people who make them are subject to them, and they give themselves and their derp state operatives a lot of wiggle room. If we want “abuse of discretion” to be made a criminal activity, good luck.
