Actually, it’s not really about hiding information any more than it is about hiding information if you refuse to talk to the police without an attorney present. It’s just prudent. If they press charges she will then know what she is charged with.

BTW, I am getting the impression that it is her husband they want, not her. She’ll probably be home soon taking care of her kids while he remains incarcerated. Just a hunch.
