There was less of a permanent stench in NJ back in the 50's & 60's when the eastern part of the state was locked in a permanent thick red haze of pollution from the junk fires and loose-boweled industries...
NJ's most notable feature, today, is it being a memorial to James Hoffa... (Who was my boss for a couple of years (57-58), after I got out of the Corps...)
...what was really irritating and quite disappointing was hearing President Trump a few weeks ago or so giving Gov. Murphy quite a bit of praise....I even think he called this little tin-pot dictator wannabe a friend of his...said Murphy was doing a great job re: the COVID virus in his state, or words to that general effect.... very disheartening....
