The ban on women in combat was lifted what, 5 or 6 years ago? They’re good for the hot zones now too.

The article says women were “largely absent from combat” in 1981. Even with the current rules, women are largely absent from combat now, right? A quick google search reveals fewer than 150 women have died in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria since 9/11/2001. I’ve never met a combat arms veteran who had female squad mates.

I am NOT in favor of putting ‘women’ on the front lines ... however, I have a relative, that was sent into desert storm... ended up in Bahrain, through the scuds ... I was a mess given what was going on during that half-assed ‘war’. Old poppy Bush, let a colon call the terms of war. We should have cleaned Saddam's clock then and there.

Because of the Dan Quayle history, she, was given NO ‘flavors’... word down from on high.

Yes, under Obama. It fulfilled a long agenda goal of left wing feminists, from back in the 60s or 70s. This didn’t used to be a conservative cause - and it still shouldn’t be. Just because feminists want women to be drafted shouldn’t mean that the rest of us should advocate that conservative women - including my granddaughters - should be drafted.
