The article says women were largely absent from combat in 1981. Even with the current rules, women are largely absent from combat now, right? A quick google search reveals fewer than 150 women have died in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Syria since 9/11/2001. Ive never met a combat arms veteran who had female squad mates.

Yes, under Obama. It fulfilled a long agenda goal of left wing feminists, from back in the 60s or 70s. This didnt used to be a conservative cause - and it still shouldnt be. Just because feminists want women to be drafted shouldnt mean that the rest of us should advocate that conservative women - including my granddaughters - should be drafted.
