Wasn’t it the Yankees who defeated slavery?

After they provided the shipping needed to bring the slaves over from Africa.

“After they provided the shipping needed to bring the slaves over from Africa.”

And after the recruiting, trading, and sales of the slaves was accomplished by black tribal chiefs in Africa.

And you may be misinformed about the slave trade operation.

Triangular transatlantic slave trade, segment of the global slave trade that transported between 10 million and 12 million enslaved Africans across the Atlantic Ocean to the Americas from the 16th to the 19th century. It was the second of three stages of the so-called triangular trade, in which arms, textiles, and wine were shipped from Europe to Africa, slaves from Africa to the Americas, and sugar and coffee from the Americas to Europe. The Portuguese were the first of the providers and profitted at each location. But the funds and trade to supply the slaves was funded by European countries. And the slaves provided goods to Europe from the Americas in goods back to Europe.

It was all European controlled until the revolution ending in 1783 with the Declaration of Independence ratification. And in a little less than 100 years it was abolished altogether led by the north in our civil war ending in 1865.

To this day, there are still die hard people supporting the southern theology of slavery that displayed things like Jim Crow laws, litmus tests, separate basic facilities and other forms of mistreatment. But the problem there is that there has been no reasonable dialog on the topic since the death of MLK in 1968. And for that, I fault all sides. Everyone has demands, but few are being reasonable. And it always seems to resort to violence rather than understanding. So the problem continues. And the violence is expected and propagated rather than being determined a worthless example of animal reaction. We are supposed to be higher on the food chain that that.
