It doesn’t matter “Who started it?” no more than in a children’s fight.
But there were good reasons for the unfortunate hostilities that we can learn from if we’re honest.
Youre right. Who started it really isnt all that important, but I was replying to a poster who placed the blame entirely on the North. The historical fact is that the first shots were fired by the South, not the North. It might have turned out to have been the other way around had Sumter not been the start of it, but thats not the actual history, only speculation. The actual history tells us that the South was the initial aggressor.
