I think we should be looking for intelligent life on Earth. One would think that a maintenance person would have notice the bad cable ... had she simply done her job and inspected the facility.
Wife and I visited the big dish some years back. It’s a beautiful thing, featured in movies.
Maybe what allowed it to happen was the “manana”(sic) tradition in Latin America and the Caribbean. I’m referring to the old 1940s/50s song, “Manana is Good Enough for Me”.
