the Constitution of the Confederate States of America was essentially a copy of that of the nation the Confederates were leaving, with a few minor modifications. It protected the freedom of speech, the freedom of the press, and the freedom of religion; it allowed for the right of the people to keep and bear arms, it protected citizens from unreasonable search and seizure, and contained numerous other provisions taken from the earlier Constitution.Unless you were black. But you had to read between the lines to arrive at that conclusion.
Yes, yes, I know The Civil War was about The Morrill Tax and not about slavery.

At the core of any political union, there has to be a consensus of commonly held values. On one side there is the depravity of neo pagan earth worship, an embrace of homosexuality and all of its decadent permutations, drug use, pornography, globalism and chronic dependence. On the other side there are righteous individuals who celebrate liberty and accomplishment. There is disunion because neither the righteous nor the depraved have much in common.

I don't care who you are, that's funny right there.

There is no civil war, only dreams of secession of the west coast. War game the election. Millions of write in ballots prevent vote counts.
a ruling most critical to note about saw the Supreme Court ordering that presidential elections must be decided by the time limit set by Title 3 of the United States codeand going unnoticed by the American people, was a time limit changed by the Presidential Transition Enhancement Act of 2019a law that changed Title 3Chapter 1Section 1 to read: The electors of President and Vice President shall be appointed, in each State, on the Tuesday next after the first Monday in November, in every fourth year succeeding every election of a President and Vice Presidentwhich means President Trump is constitutionally and legally bound to make sure that after the 3 November presidential election, each State has appointed their electors by the following Tuesday on 10 Novembereven if he has to sign an executive order to make it sowill see the Supreme Court backing this executive orderand predictably would see socialist Democrat Party heads exploding all across America.
The left dems can declare a rigged election and threaten secession of Oregon, Washington and California. The threat is backed up by Chinese fishing boats now conveniently staging at the Glapagos Islands. These boats carry missiles with emp warheads. The threat of secession vs emping the entire northern hemisphere is the question that will be answered by either the president or the electorate.
Capitulation to China means a new international border on the Washington, Oregon, California line. A new hot war with China on the western hemisphere. This sounds like a bad movie.
Feinstein and the entire west coast political establishment is owned lock stock and barrel by china. This will not end well for her.

Don’t know about that...but it’s definitely very divided.
And it’s the same political party again that caused it: Democrats

Never before in our history have law makers, elected local officials and law enforcement personnel been so tolerant for criminals in the streets. It's a perfect storm, what with Soros and the Democrat/communist party funding and protecting the lawbreakers.
And the criminals are stepping in to take advantage of the opportunity.
It's not "What should we do?" It's "What are we going to do?" The answer is likely very bleak.

Well, right now it’s not quite a war, and it’s not very civil. So an uncivil unwar?

This may be so. It was fairly common for Union forces who ended up in the middle of rebeldom after a major battle, even a successful one such as Tupelo, Ms to face a logistics sustainment crisis and move back toward Union
controlled country. Non ambulatory wounded were left with a stay behind detachment of doctors and hospital orderlies. The communities where this occurred were frequently swamped with both Confederate and Union wounded and caring for them was a process of many months. A particular instance of this happened in the parish seat of Mansfield, Louisiana following the twin battles of Mansfield and Sabine Crossroads. This was in a very thinly settled area SE of Shreveport. Mansfield id not a big place today and was just a small town in 1864. The entire community became a hospital and the wounded were treated without recognition of being Confederate or Union. Families would have two or more , depending on the hose size, wounded soldiers placed with them for basic care. Even the house of prostitution got a number of wounded and often dying soldiers.
Since Mansfield was pretty much in the middle of no where few wounded Union soldiers who recovered ever left until the war ended. Since recovery was a very slow process as the number of doctors was not great and the basic mode of care was close attention and keeping wounds cleaned and using clean bandages (ones that had been boiled for reuse. Every house had a boiling kettle kept fired somewhere on the lot for this task) many wounded were only reasonably recovered by late winter ‘65. After the war a number of the recovered Union wounded settled in Mansfield as the huge number of Southern men killed or dead of disease in the war offered quite a few economic opportunities. Also, during the long and pain filled process of recovery , a number of young Union soldiers became engaged to either daughters of the house where they were recovering or to one of the many young widows in the community. Mansfield may be the most dramatic of these cases but it happened pretty often especially in the west. A young man suffering from a gunshot wound, a limb amputation often with a pre existing medical condition (chronic dysentery for example was just a hurt suffering guy without either a butternut or blue uniform. I don't know how it would work out today with the ‘wokes’.

Except like never before this one is purely ideology driven. Some people try to make it state vs state but it really isn’t. Houston city is as liberal as Seattle, as far as I understand.
It is more regions (rural, sometimes suburban)vs urban, but even less than that now.
Now it is much more about ideology. Which is one gets into verbal fights with relatives on facebook, some of which are in conservative cities, but they are firm liberals.

A civil war is by definition a war between citizens of the same country, and the American Civil War was certainly that.
No, it actually wasn't. A civil war is two (or more) factions of the citizenry fighting for control of the same government. Robert's definition calls the Revolutionary War a civil war as well. These US's fight was an invasion of seceding States by the union government. Without a fight, all the South had to do was leave. Which they did, until the North had to force them back. Without that, it would have been a peaceful process.
By the way, Congress has passed legislation officially calling the conflict the 'War Between the States'.
