They’re already in the last stage of human trials for safety and efficacy testing. They’ve said this particular one might be approved by October. It’s on track to be the fastest vaccine development program in the history of humanity. What are your expectations? Disease discovered on Monday and vaccine at CVS on Wednesday or it’s a failure?

The first major polio outbreak in the US was in 1894. The first polio vaccine wasn’t approved in the US until 1955; 61 years later. President Trump can streamline processes and get Federal red tape out of the way, but the man can’t work miracles or time travel. 7 months from discovery to phase 3 clinical trials of multiple vaccine candidates will just have to do.

The polio virus wasn't identified as the cause until 1908. So really 47 years. Attempts at vaccine development didn't begin until 1935, so really only 20 years.
