States' rights. I think there are remedies, but not necessarily immediate remedies. Trump's second term could bring this into focus.
Don't lose sight of the fact that the wealthy, businesses and tax payers are starting to leave these jurisdictions; obvious possibility. With growing loss of revenues these stupid politicos are beginning to realize they are not the socialist light on a hill.
They turned to Nancy Pelosi to grab $4 trillion in Federal money to ease their burden, but POTUS threw a monkey wrench in the gears. This on top of POTUS putting an end to claiming punitive state taxes as a deduction on the annual federal income tax return.
There are natural corrections to these abuses that do not require active intervention. California has been recorded as the sixth largest economy in the world; it is predicted that they are on course to become a third world banana republic. New York is begging billionaires to return to the Empire State.
