It’s all politics. Fearful, afraid, cowards...not any strength to show America how strong they are...
If there is no college football there will be no college basketball...something I predicted back in early March.
This is a LOT of money. Many millions and what about all these people on Athletic scholarship?
C’mon curling team! Whoo-hoo!!
I do not have the slightest interest in fall football.
I do like NFL films though.
Giving up stadium revenue would hurt. Giving up TV revenue for the Power 5 would be a disaster.
This would be yet another tremendous financial blow to many universities and ALL athletic programs. Football (and sometimes men’s hoops) carry the entire athletic program and usually add significantly to the school bottom line.
Good. It will make their comeback even harder. May they all go broke.
Get rid of all athletic scholarships. You can have football basketball baseball etc but students first then go play games after class. 90% of the current Div 1 student athletes couldnt run the order window at McDonalds. The big universities will just have to get used to less money. Maybe they could cut out the LGBQTRS basket weaving and transcendentalism black lives matter classesto save some bucks.
As long as the SEC and ACC play, I don’t care who else does. Trevor Lawrence is lobbying hard for the season to go on, and #LetThemPlay is trending on Twitter.
It’s Big10-SEC politics. Big 10 is jealous of the SEC and always looking to stick it to them.
Can’t see how colleges would say no to billions of dollars. Especially for a relatively mild virus that spares the young.
Good. Stay home you anti american creeps. I dont want to watch you play anything.
Pac-12 usually follows the Big 10. If they both don’t play I don’t see SEC and ACC playing. Big 10 knows that and is trying to blow up the season to the detriment of the SEC and Clemson.
h25. Really?
No college basketball? The bookies aren’t going to like that.
The top players with expectations so high are going to be one year farther away from being awash in millions if the college season is lost.
Can university presidents stand up to college athletes for the first time in a long time? It would be something to see university presidents standing up for something; anything.
Especially against a powerful force of several dozen angry people who can play all kinds of social justice cards.
