No mask, no flight, no tourism, no economy, and Inuits starve. OK with me, if that’s what Alaskans want. I never lost anything there.
We had bought tickets to fly to Juneau in a few days. Some friends of ours decided they wanted to join us. It looked like a good year to do it because there are not any cruise ships coming in, so fewer tourists. And then our friends sent us the notice that said you must have a negative Covid test within 72 hours of arriving at the airport. Otherwise you have to quarantine for 14 days.We dont trust the test because there of been so many false positives recorded. we were going to take a chance on that so we cancelled the trip We were going to do all sorts of things- do charter fishing trips, take some flight seeing flights to some other places, generally spend like you would on any regular vacation and the other couple was going to do it too. I was shocked to see that Alaska/ Alaskans are willing to give up their entire tourist season. We were wondering if perhaps the state hands out lots of welfare because of revenues from energy sources in Alaska. Just amazing!
