Oddly “this old house” is pretty realistic though they never give you figures, the project is always extremely pricey.

I did a project with Tom Silva from This Old House and we talked about that.
He had just bid a refurb on a Boston home at $15,000,000.
I don’t remember if that was a show house or one his company was doing.
We spent about three days together on the project and I also spent a day on one of their sites while they were filming where I met the whole team.
Just a bunch of guys filming themselves building houses. I still have his cell number in my phone

I’ve seen that old movie about three times. It’s hilarious. I’d like for TCM to air it on cable, so I can watch it again.
