Beirut/ Lebanon could the pearl of the eastern Mediterranean if they would kick out the Syrians, Turks, Russians, Iranians, Chinese, and all the proxy jihadi forces...but they are doomed to perpetual violence and suffering...
The same could have been said of Portland and Seattle as the pearls of the Pacific. Totalitarians and anarchists sent them all into chaos hoping to be the ones who come out on top. In Beirut, no one won. In the USA, I expect the same if we are unable to stop the far-left terrorists.
