I heard that too. Some bikers said that the whole thing was cancelled but all recent news says it’s going ahead.
They have and will continue to do much worse. Their only motivating thought is to gain complete power in the Republic by any means.

Don’t leave out hotels and motels in the equation. In our forty years in Rapid City, motels have increased just like everything else and they fill up in August for the Rally in every town within any reasonable distance from Sturgis. For example Sundance WY, Spearfish, Belle Fourche, Hill City, Rapid City, Custer, Wall, Hot Springs SD etc etc.
