Sounds like a wild ride.
If there are any astronauts still alive from the Apollo era I’d be very interested in a conversation between Bob and Doug and those Apollo Mission astronauts specifically about the reentry sounds and sensations. The internal capsule vibrations and sounds during reentry then and now.
Yeah... A DRAGON!!!
Sounds like a subtle hit piece. No matter how good your ship, re-entering the earth’s atmosphere is a violent event.

Yeah... A DRAGON!!!
Sounds like a bunch of drama queens. I dont recall that much puffery over all the Mercury, Gemini, Apollo and Soyuz capsule re-entries and splashdowns. The physics have not changed. Just a hunch, but Id say the author wasnt alive during those programs.
Sounds great! :^)
Disgusting!
Who is Loren Grush? With a name like that, it could be a Sheilah or a limp wristed pretty boy. My guess is that the two astronauts didn’t make those wimpy statements. I think the writer took what they said and embellished it, effeminately. The two space men gave the rugged details to give the impression that they’re tough and hairy chested; but the sissy reporter twisted it around to sound like pearl clutchers.
What was wrong with the old space shuttles? They landed like aircraft.
Were armed gorillas on horses waiting to greet them?
One thing I thought was interesting is that, to me, both mission control and the interior of the capsule looked like cheap movie props. Mission control was what looked like folding tables with nothing on them but dual monitors and a key board. The interior of the capsule was equally sparse. It was obviously all that they needed, I just thought it looked kind of funny.
