I had employees for many years. If any of them interfered like this with a customer they would be gone immediately.
That tells me that the owner agrees with the employees and is on the side of the criminals.
Very likely, but also possible it’s an attempt to deflect.
As in, “Please Don’t Hurt Me” to the woke employee’s thug pals.
