If I won even just One Million, I wouldn’t tell anybody.
Not even where I bank.
I use several banks right now. None of them know the total sum of my savings. They don’t have the Need To Know.

Just to share the joy, I might tell some close family that I won ‘something’,
the amount? ‘Oh, a little over $100. Dollars, and that’s before taxes! Ha ha!”

When people think they have found an easy source for a lot of free money, most people are changed. Deeply changed.
Sometimes just temporarily. I happened to me, before I stopped and checked my own behavior.

They want some of that ‘free money’ too, dammit!
“I thought we were friends! I’m not good enough for your friendship anymore, now that you’re rich. Is that it? I don’t know why I’m surprised.”

You don’t have to tell anyone, the government will publicize it.
There are just a few where anonymity is possible.

I think banks have a way to know where else you bank, through their well-connected network. So wave that anonymity goodbye.

But most definitely yes, tell NO ONE, not ever your spouse.

I think it would be fun to do anonymous good deeds for deserving people who would never know who did it. As for my lifestyle, I’m the type who wouldn’t change anything, almost.
