Statins can cause brain fog,

Are you positive about that???? Just started taking a blood pressure medication, Lisinopril, and a Cholesterol pill Astorvastatin that was prescribed to me a year ago but stopped taking them both due to that brain fog.

Tried them again two weeks ago and the same result...

Not sure which caused it but the only reason they were prescribed was due my life style being in a "high risk" category but no real high blood pressure or cholesterol.........

Hope this helps....
on statins in Heathline

....That could explain why statins cause side effects like brain fog and memory loss that usually stop when people get off them, and why statins cause significant fatigue, especially for women. Statins weaken your mitochondria, which contributes to fatigue and brain fog. That’s the first reason to avoid them.

On Lisinopril-—I took it a couple of weeks and had to stop. I honestly can’t remember which side effects did it but I like olmesartan medoxomil now, but that’s just me. Don’t know about anyone else.

I have no medical knowledge. I shouldn’t be spouting off here.

Hope you find relief and help.
