closest I came was a gal flipped her car in a field and wrapped it around a telephone like poll. It was smoking so I ran out to it and she was hanging upside down with blood gushing down her arms.....couldn't get her unbuckled and could smell gas....ran back to road and flagged truck down who called 911 (before cell phones).
Ran back to car and noted childs seat in the rear seat.......but no kid in nor on the grounds around. It was absolutely intense. Soon jaws of life and others on the scene....I was never so happy to see “rescuers” come so quick and work so hard to get her out. She was in rough shape and I never new if she made it or not.
