I’m in favor of him banning Tik Tok but not until AFTER the election.
He is advertising there and his ads get thru.
Moreover, he will provoke a backlash among young ppl who would otherwise support him and are hearing his message.
FReepers should not downplay how important Tik Tok is, in the lives of younger voters. It’s HUGE.
It is huge, the largest pro-Trump movement for Trump in on Tik Tok, it’s amazing.
We have too many elderly people on Free Republic who do not understand technology and have knee jerk reactions to technology.
Tik Tok is a social media platform. It lets users put up short videos about whatever they want. Sure, it could be teens dancing or singing, but it can be a pro-Trump video.
How can the Chinese, even if they wanted to, use it to spy on you, anymore than Apple, Google, FaceBook, Twitter or Microsoft already does?
The answer is really they cannot.
However, all of the above, and note Google owns and controls Youtube, wants to ban conservative talk, videos, messages, etc.
Tik Tok does not.
