Revolutions often get out of hand. A lot of us Freepers will no longer be around to watch as the liberals turn on themselves and for their heads start rolling into baskets
but roll they will.

This is a good synopsis of what the left is doing today. One difference between the lead up to the French Revolution and today is that we have a long history of republican institutions and a Constitution to fall back on, and the influence of those will hopefully prevail against today's leftist madness.
But the survival of liberty is not a sure thing, and many on the left - not just the street thugs, also many powerful people in academia and the media - would like to see our institutions fall and our freedoms dissolve. Nihilism recognizes no limiting principle.

"But dont worry, new holidays such as Non-Binary Day are being ginned up, and Google Calendar now warns us when Black History Month and Womens History Month begin."
During "pride" month (June), I typically get all sorts of supportive, themed messages from Microsoft, but no such messages are sent on any other holidays, including Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the Fourth of July.

Remember that famous painting of all those women charging the Bastille, one with bosom showing, in all its glory? Well, French historians say that they were men dressed up as women so they would not be fired upon. So the French Revolution had a use for trangenderism also.

The french revolution was truly an exercise in mob totalitarian rule. People were encouraged to “out” their fellow citizens. It may have begun with the middle business class, but they soon filled the rows of those to get guillotined.
