McAfee himself is a raving lunatic and likely criminal
I’m not going to claim he isn’t - the MSM and Derpstate has done a pretty good job of publicizing that, and he probably actually is nuts.
```````````````
I’m at the point now, if the MSM/derps want me to think one thing, ie Mcafee is nuts, then I should think the opposite. Think mirror.
China is good (bad really).
Rusia is bad (good really).
etc
So upthread someone stated that Windows Defender takes the place of McAfee —is that tru? Should I count on a Bill Gates product?
I've been using Defender since Win7 came out. No problems.
Back when I was in the biz, McAfee was the first thing I deleted when setting up customer's PCs.
Years ago, even McAfee suggested deleting McAfee Antivirus. 'Course, that was after he sold the company.
I’ve read a fair bit about McAfee - something about Belize, and girls, and who knows what...
I have windows 7, don’t know what’s on it, refuse updates, and free Avast and never have problems. Other than that, I know nuttin.
That was me.
If you’re paying for anti-virus software, just stop.
Windows Defender does all that and it comes as part of Windows 10 (it’s in 7 too).
I trust it with all my machines and I’ve never had a problem.
Virus issues are rare now. It’s usually malware or phishing, which no anti-virus program will handle anyway.
I use Norton. I figure if Defender was all that great why do windows machines still get hacked? I've used McAfee in commercial settings - seems to work as well although you have to tell it to trust certain things.
