In addition to the miscalculation about not getting it all out on a daily basis, some of the union brothers have not liked their loss of overtime and are showing their displeasure to the new Postmaster with, shall we say, slowdowns.
Just curious, many times at our local post office, I have noticed a huge line waiting and many workers notice it and just keep walking. Do you think they slow-walk the work? I know that money spent in wages is astronomical. What is the real problem? Is there any incentive to actually get all the work done in the scheduled hours/per/day?
