Yes, for health-related fields, use of PPE has been standard for decades; I wasn't referring to that per se. And even in those fields, I am not aware of any vaccination requirements, and I worked in medicine for a few years, a long while ago.

This article appears to be applying this requirement to all forms of employment, whether you're working at McDs, digging ditches, programming computers -- whatever. That's an unprecedented overreach.

As always, the question is "Cui bono?" And the answer from 'authorities' is always "The People". And all to often, that's a lie.

For healthcare workers, the issue blew up around 2009 during the H1N1 Influenza outbreak. https://abcnews.go.com/Health/SwineFluNews/mandatory-flu-vaccines-upset-nurses/story?id=8727353

But many places (including some of the largest healthcare employers in the country) already had policies in place: get vaccinated or don’t work here.

As for the article, it’s some people posting their opinions on how to coerce people into getting vaccinated. They’re free to post their opinions as they like. Now show me a government policy mandating it for everyone and I’ll absolutely oppose that. I think it would be a poor decision to not take a vaccine for this bug, but in this country, we’re supposed to have the freedom to make poor decisions.
