Robinson is one of only 5 Demonrats in the TN State Senate. She defeated the late incumbent Reginald Tate in the 2018 primary. Tate was a self-admitted Republican who had to run as a Democrat. The left did a purge of 2 of the 3 right-of-center Black Senate Democrats. Tate was one of them and my ex-State Senator was the other (she was strongly “urged” to retire).
It’s curious that of the 5 Demonrat State Senators, 3 are from Memphis and the other 2 are from Nashville. 4 of them are women, 3 of the 4 are Black, but the lone White guy is the Demonrat Minority Leader.
Who’s the remaining right of center black Senator?

There isn’t one. In 2018, they primaried out Reginald Tate and urged out my State Senator, Thelma Harper, to retire in favor of a younger leftist. All 5 Dems are moonbats.
Also recently the Dems purged probably the last center-right Black Dem member, Rep. John DeBerry (not via the ballot box, but just by stripping him of appearing on the Dem ballot because he “votes like a Republican”). He’s running for reelection as an Independent.
The Tennessee Senate Democratic Caucus issued the following statement: “It’s clear that Sen. Robinson’s work in the state legislature on behalf of her constituents is not in question here today. Just like every other American, Sen. Robinson deserves the presumption of innocence and due process under the law. Her case should be resolved by a court of law, not by the court of public opinion.”
OK, fair enough. But Democrats have been working feverishly for years to destroy the rule of law in the USA. Now they hide behind the rule of law they would destroy.

There were 3 Black Dem Senators in total and 2 of them were right-of-center. Actually, the 3rd Black Dem Senator, who was the Minority Leader, left, too, and is now the Mayor of Shelby County, so all 3 of their replacements are n00bs in that body.
