Slavery was NOT invented by people in North America.Several younger people I've spoken to were of the opinion that slavery WAS originally "invented" in the USA.
Those same people are quite surprised when directed to the recent websites of the Chinese drone showing handcuffed, blindfolded Chinese religious immigrants being loaded into train cars for trandsport to slave labor and reeducation camps.

“...Several younger people I’ve spoken to...” were the wearing nike wear or other clothing produced by, basically, slave labor? Clueless nitwits.

What are ‘Chinese religious immigrants’ ? Uighur illegals? The Chicoms are our enemies but they are (along with the Burmese) who are dealing with muzzard invaders effectively. To change LTG Sheridan's saying slightly, ‘The only good male muzzard is a dead muzzard’

Even the Columbus actions they complain about were to keep the natives under control while they broke them from EATING their slaves.
The cultures in much of the Americas were completely incompatible with Christianity, from the widespread human sacrifice and systemic industrialized cannibalism. One of Cortez’ baggage trains including wives was captured, put in pens with no doors and then every one of them was eaten one by one - over 500 of them over a few months.
