Also have backup weapons staged. I have a Ruger PC9 with a 50 round mag, 2 Taurus judges loaded with alternating 000 buck and #6 bird shot. Beyond that, homemade medieval weapons.

Have a 380 right beside me now, 22 rifle and 243 inside, both scoped, couple of bows, pellet pistol even, and crossbow pistol if it gets that bad...after all, it’s rated at 50lbs pull, a 6 inch pointed dart is enough to do the trick...my 30 lb recurve bow can bring down a deer...when it all hits the fan, 9mm and 380 with 2 mags each will probably be in the car, right now it’s just the 9. Depending on how things look, shotgun may go in the car too...looking at a 22 six shooter but undecided.
hmmmm...maybe I could make up some darts and pull out the blow gun...it will stick a 3 inch dart into a tree deep enough I have to use pliers to get it out, and very accurate. In the 80’s I practiced with it on matchbook covers...talk about your SBD...
Everything always ready. I don’t have to guess, yes it’s loaded. Only exception is the shotgun, if someone breaks in, the first thing I want him to hear is that thing rack a buckshot round into the chamber...most intimidating sound I know of. I’d say there’s a 90% chance all I’ll see is his ass...running hard as he can go...
Last thing I want is to shoot someone, I’d just as soon run a thug off but when it comes down to me or a crackhead...
I think if it were me, I’d have slugs in that Judge...but that’s just me...wish I had one...maybe if we get another virus check...I’d much rather see the people go back to work though
