Its going to only apply around very liberal cities and if you live too close to one thats your problem
Furthermore in my county for example ( Marin near SF)
almost everything is zoned single-family housing and there is a house on that property
so whos ever going to condemn five or six of those so they can build some Soviet style apartments? It will never happen
What they are doing in places like downtown San Jose is building apartment homes with HOAs that sell for a half $1 million

They dont have to tear down and rebuild. They can simply change zoning and allow multiple (2, 3, 4 or more) family housing on each lot. Watch how many units those properties can be divided into and how many people can be crammed into each of them. They can do that and they WILL do that given the opportunity.
