Prayers up for all in China who simply want freedom from the oppressive Chicom regime. May God shield any and all who stand against their oppresors.

Prayers for the Chinese people and the world to be protected against their demonic government.

With China, any level of evil is possible. There is no regard for human life outside of its usefulness to the state.

Curious development. Lot of PhD ‘heads’ in this group who quit. Had to be some leadership decisions that they weren’t going to accept.

If I didn’t know better, I’d say China is about to gain an overwhelming and deadly nuclear advantage of some kind and is prepared to take it, but these scientists can’t in good conscience be part of it... Wait, I don’t know better!

It could be financial as well. Being nuclear scientists, they know how to read federal budgets and maybe they don’t like China’s long term trends and are packing it in early.

```
China, even before it was China, has never in 3500 years been a place that held human life in high regard. Why now?
What form could this advantage take?
We currently deploy a force of nuclear subs which carry optimumly something in the area of 2500-3000 nuclear warheads. These missile subs are constantly on patrol with their locations unknown to even our own military except in the most general terms.
How would China overcome this threat which completely annihilate their country in order to use what you claim their alleged advantage?
At the highest levels, the profession of nuclear physics is international-minded with a sense of being the elite of science. This tends to make them willing to buck their own governments over major issues, including war and peace.
China is experiencing the worst floods in its history, and it is ongoing. With most of the crops destroyed this year and locusts coming to destroy the rest, China is in a world of hurt. Getting out while the getting is good.
Add to this the great GOLD FRAUD. One of their gold dealers created fake gold bars (gold plated copper) and then used these fake gold bard to get loans. 4% of China’s gold reserve is discovered to be fake...
On further thought, I suspect the issue that prompted the resignations is a dodgy reactor design. If so, the leadership will be investigated and purged, with the scientists back at work within weeks.
“China is experiencing the worst floods in its history ...”
Now, that’s an interesting observation, FRiend. May I suggest that China has been so prone to catastrophic flooding throughout its history that it’s going to be hard to say which event was actually the “worst.”
But 1931 seems to have been a particularly bad year in a bad decade. I’ve seen estimates of up to 4 million dead! Considering the chaotic state of China at the time, we’ll never know for certain.
I believe someone else on this thread observed that life has always been cheap in China. My father was there in the last months of World War II and that’s exactly what he always said.
My initial reaction to the headline “90 Nuke Scientists Quit” was “since when does the communist government allow them to quit?”
Yeah and they all want to come here. More than half the freakin’ world wants to come here. Funny how we’re supposed to be so hated and yet at least half the world would move here if it could.
Life is cheap in China? Life in China is worthless.
I suppose that’s a correct statement about any heathen nation. China’s well over 90% heathen and has been for all of its history. Only now they’re heathens dead set on ruling the world.
Let’s try this instead:
Life in China has value only insofar as it serves the CCP.
How would China overcome this threat [finding our subs]
A) By having figured out how to find them.
B) having a space-based ABM capability.
C) Having the Norks do it. Iran is even a more likely proxy.
Let us also not forget they don't share the same value on life as do we.
In China, if you are a senior nuke scientist, you do not “quit”. If the CCP is unhappy with you, then they accept your resignation.
I suspect a mass firing of suddenly discovered incompetents is more likely .
